Mrs. Lillian Sanford Bridges of Ellijay died Sunday April 1, 2018.

Mrs. Bridges was born in Gilmer County, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Viola Crawford Sanford. She graduated from Dalton Beauty College in 1976 and was a licensed cosmetologist. She owned Reflections Beauty Shop and attended Harvest Missionary Church. Her parents, husband, Charles Bridges, sisters and brothers; Edward, Earl, Ruel, Junior, and Frank Sanford, Rosa Lee Garland, Dorothy Barnes, Cleo Copeland, and Annie Mae Burgess preceded her in death.

Survivors include: Daughters and sons-in-law: April and Chris Harper, Ellijay,  Dr. Vickie and Dale Reed. Chatsworth, Charlotte Poteet, Chatsworth, Charlene Vick, Dalton, son and daughter-in-law: Calvin and Becky Bridges, Robbinsville, NC. brother; Harold Sanford, Ellijay, sisters; Retha Dotson, Winnie Belle Banks both of Ellijay, Josephine Cregar, Chatsworth, Juanita Long, Dalton, 13 Grandchildren; Chad Poteet, Summer Stanfield, Dr. Nick Reed, Dr. Miranda Cleaver, Amy Williams, Dr. Tori Ashe, Jacob Bernhardt, Rachel Bernhardt , Carly Bernhardt, Emily Bridges, Emily Powell, Riley Powell and Abbi Harper, 12 great-grandchildren 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Arnold and Rev. Edward Ledford officiating. Entombment will be in the Yukon cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Tuesday 4pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
