Mr. Ronnie A. Martin age 77 of East Ellijay died Sunday September 27, 2015.

Mr. Martin was born May 22, 1938 in Gilmer County the son of the late Orral and Myrtle Johnston Martin. He was a 1956 graduate of Gilmer High School, served in the US Army, was the last surviving member of the Flint Hill Methodist Church and operated M&P Equipment Company for a number of years. He enjoyed his family, the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping.

Survivors Include: Wife: Barbara Sanford Martin, Daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Ray Wingate, Ellijay, Lisa and Tony Grizzle, Ellijay, Grandchildren and spouse Ashley and Sam Low, Great-grandchild, Saydee Low, step grandchild, Katlin Hays, 5 step great grandchildren, Sister, Glenda Sue Johnson, Ellijay.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Chastain officiating. Music will be by Lauren Jones and Tracy Abercrombie. Pallbearers will be Ray Wingate, Tony Grizzle, Sam Low, Bobby Lanning, John Nelson, Don Crider. Honorary pallbearers will be Darren Johnson, James Henson, Andy Key, Burley Davis, Kenneth Teague.Concluding service will be in the Flint Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 3 until 9pm at the funeral home.
