Mrs. Maxine Dale Towery, age 82, of Ellijay, GA, died Saturday, November 18, 2017.

She was born on April 24, 1935, in Gilmer County, to the late Joseph and Ethel Edwards Dale. Mrs. Towery was a Pickens High School graduate and worked as an office manager at Georgia Marble, as well as, being a member of Whitestone Baptist Church.

She was survived by her Husband, Earl Towery; Sons & Daughters-in-law, Doug & Donna Towery of Blairsville, GA and Joe & Nikki Towery of Ellijay, GA; Daughter & Son-in-law, Holly & Tim Boothe of Jasper, GA; (6) Grandchildren, Clay Towery, Kate Towery Newton, Ellie Boothe, Ben Boothe, Mack Towery and Luke Towery; (4) Great-Grandchildren, Grayson Towery, Nolan Towery, Matthew Towery and Elizabeth Towery.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 21, 2017 at 2:00 pm from the Whitestone Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Reece, Rev. Harold Nelson and Jeff Floyd officiating. Interment will be in the Whitestone Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will meet with friends on Monday from the 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
