The Gilmer High School tennis teams faced Fannin’s Rebels, then later in the week faced off with Murray. The Lady “Cats” swept the Lady Rebels of Fannin while the boys posted a win over Murray.In the home matches versus Fannin, the Lady Rebels came out claws out. Anna Westmoreland, Torianna Olson and Ally Davis won all three singles matches in two sets.

Rachel Penland with Mattie Cagle and Hannah Colwell with Kali Malham swept the doubles matches, winning both matches in two sets as well.

After being swept in singles play, the Bobcats boys took both doubles matches. Ross Henderson with Mel Mosley won first doubles, the second doubles match came via forfeit.

Murray’s Lady Indians scalped the Lady “Cats” singles teams, winning all three singles matches. Penland and Cagle scored the lone win for the Lady “Cats” in first doubles.

The Bobcats took two of three singles, with Will Luke and Dusty Ray procuring the wins. The “Cats” swept the doubles matches, winning both matches in two sets each.
