East Ellijay Chief of Police Alright After Shock

East Ellijay Chief of Police Larry Callahan is alright after receiving a shock Thursday morning during the cleanup of the flooding in Gilmer County.As EMS director Tony Pritchett explained, Callahan was down working with some of the other Gilmer officials who were attempting to aid and assist those affected by the flood when a tree fell on his truck. Once this happened Callahan stepped out of the truck and came into contact with a power line, which resulted in an electric shock.

Callahan was then treated and released at North Georgia Medical Center in Ellijay and is not expected to miss any work due to the incident.
