The Gilmer High School Bobcats tennis teams held the annual end of the year banquet to honor superlatives and participants.Head coach, Donna Parks, began the evening with some her favorite memories from the year, including taking spring sports pictures in the snow and the Lady “Cats” winning the first round of the Region 7-AAAA Tournament.

The dedication and participation awards were doled out before, Hannah Caldwell and Mel Moseley received the Academic Awards.

Anna Westmoreland, who is recovering from a broken arm suffered after the season, received the #1 Girls Singles Award. She finished the year 5-7.

Isaac Hensley received the #1 Boys Singles Award. He finished the year 3-7.

The #1 Doubles Team for the Lady “Cats” went to Mattie Cagle and Rachel Penland. Cagle and Penland finished the year 7-5, the only members to finish the year above .500.

Ross Henderson and Moseley made up the #1 Doubles Team for the Bobcats, followed by Levi Stolz being awarded the Newcomer Award.

Torrie Olson walked away with the Most Determination award and Allie Davis received the most consistent award.

No Team Captain award was given; however, Luke received the Team Peacemaker award.

Chancy Davis and Dusty Ray received the Ms. and Mr. GHS Tennis award respectively.

The MVP award was given to the first doubles team of Cagle and Penland.
