Mr. Paul D. Milton, age 78 of Ellijay, died Saturday August 6, 2016.

Mr. Milton was born July 20, 1938 in Gilmer County, the son of the late Lawrence Newman and Annie Brown Milton. He was a 1957 graduate of Gilmer High School, served in the U.S. Air Force, retired from Lockheed/Martin Company and was of the Baptist faith. His wife Patsy Roland Milton, brothers; Charles “Med” Milton, Raymond Milton and sister; Monteen Langley preceded him in death.

Survivors include: Children; Rita and Curtis Barnhart, Barbara Milton Hill, Canton and Kimberley Milton Armstrong, Ft. Worth, TX; sisters; Melba and Grady Gibson, and Barbara Reece all of Ellijay, 15 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 9, at 1:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Rubin Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Yukon cemetery with military honors by the North Georgia Honor Guard.

The family will meet with friends Monday from 4 until 9pm at the funeral home.
