Myrtle Clayton Mooney

Mrs. Myrtle Clayton Mooney age 91 of Ellijay died Friday October 26, 2018.

Mrs. Mooney was born June 29, 1927 in Gilmer County to the late Palmer Clayton and Mary Mathis and was a member of Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Mooney is preceded in death by her husband Ivory Mooney.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law: Larry and Barbara Mooney of Gainesville, GA, Daughters; Marsha Mooney of Ellijay, GA and Sandra Chastain of Metter, GA Sisters:, Bernice McClure and Helen Thomas both of Ellijay, GA. Grandchildren; Brandy Kirkpatrick, Bryan Kirkpatrick, Lacy Stokes, Ivy Stokes, Amber Barrow, Stuart Barrow, Tony Kirby, Jason Kirby. Great grandchild; Henry Kirkpatrick

Funeral Services will be held Monday October 29, at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Elder David Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Tickanetley Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday October 28, from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.

Flowers will be accepted but the family requests that donations may also be made to the upkeep of the Tickanetley Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund at Paul Mooney JR. 408 Moon Rise Trail Ellijay GA, 30536.
