Don Aaron Holland

Mr. Don Aaron Holland, age 83 of Lawrenceville, GA, formerly of Ellijay passed on Sunday February 24th, 2019 at Delmar Garden’s of Gwinnett. He was born March 7th, 1935 in Atlanta, GA to his late parents Aaron Brantley and Frances (Walraven) Holland. Mr. Holland worked for ADT Security systems for 43 years before retiring in Ellijay. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ellijay and enjoyed fishing and playing softball. Don also was a great cook, mastering the art of hushpuppies.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday February 27th at the First Baptist Church of Ellijay with Dr. David Drake officiating. Music and singing will be by Mrs. Shannon Bates and Mr. Del Land. Graveside interment will follow in the Ellijay City Cemetery with the Sojourner Sunday School Class serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the non-active pallbearers from the Sojourner Sunday School Class.

Don is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sandra Wright Holland of Lawrenceville(formerly of Ellijay), son & daughter-in-law, Christopher & Karen Holland of Cleveland, GA, daughter, Kelly Hudson of Tucker, GA, grandchildren, David & Michelle Holcombe, Heather Hudson and Sean Hudson, great grandson, Teddy Holcombe, sisters & brother-in-law, Connie & Alvin Eison of Dallas, GA, and Nina Hale of Westminster, SC, several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family is receiving friends on Tuesday February 26th, 2019 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at the Logan Funeral Home.
