Imogene Starks

Ms. Imogene Starks, age 86 of Ellijay, GA passed on Friday February 22, 2019 at the Parkside Ellijay Nursing Home. Born March 24, 1932 to he late parents Claude Morris and Roma Sumner Starks in Ellijay. Imogene was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and retired as a Kriller with Shaw Industries. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Jeff, Bug and Jack Starks and sisters-in-law, Barbara Starks and Lillie Mae Starks.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday February 25th, 2019 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Jones and Rev. Brian Clayton officiating. Music and singing will be by Irene Wofford. Graveside interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Phillip Pankey, Danny Frady, Jamie Pierce, Michael Starks, Alan Starks, Larry Starks, Bob Wright and Herb Wright serving as pallbearers.

Ms. Starks is survived by her daughter, Linda Starks McPhearson, sisters & brothers-in-law, Ruby Nell & Roy Wright, Betty Sue & Winston Frady, Jesse & David Pierce and Wanda & Phillip Pankey, brothers & sisters-in-law, Charles & Ruth Starks, Billy Starks and Ruth Starks all of Ellijay, several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends on Sunday February 24th, 2019 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at the Logan Funeral Home. Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Fund at 822 Tails Creek Road Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Ms. Starks.
