Mr. James O. “Jimmie” Jones age 75 of Blue Ridge died Thursday January 2, 2020.

Mr. Jones was born May 28, 1944, in Gilmer County, the son of the late J.P. and Versel Cochran Jones. He was a graduate of Gilmer High School, was a land developer and member of the Mt. Pleasant (Top of the Mountain) Church.

Survivors include: wife; Patricia Daly Jones, sons; Stacey Jones, Wesley Jones both of Blue Ridge, daughter; Cynthia Holden, Ellijay, 9 grandchildren Adam Jones, Ryan Jones, Nicholas Holden, Christopher Holden, Tyler Jones, Jefferson Jones, Alice Clanton, Katie Jones, Kandice Long. 3 great-grandchildren; Payton Long, Ryleigh Long, Whitaker Clanton.

The family will meet with friends Thursday January 9, 2020 from 5 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.
