Louise Elizabeth Ballew

February 19, 1931 – October 29, 2018

Ms. Louise Elizabeth Ballew, age 87, of Smyrna, Georgia passed away Monday, October 29^th, 2018.

She was born February 19, 1931 in Gilmer County to the late Arthur Ballew and Etta Jane (Starks) Ballew. Ms. Ballew was a graduate of Ellijay High School, Class of 1947, and the Atlanta Business College.  She worked as a secretary to George Gardner, Supervisor of SEC Officials, for Malone Construction, and retired from Lockheed-Martin in Marietta, Georgia. Ms. Ballew was a member of First Baptist Church in Woodstock, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Gladys Ballew Reece and Mary Sue Ballew.

Survivors include: Companion, Bill Payne, Reynolds, GA; Brother, Hayden Ballew, Atlanta, GA; Sisters, Jo Ann Lovingood Mager, Naples, FL and Carolyn Willis, Blue Ridge, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 3^rd at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. John Bramlett officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 3^rd from 1:00pm until the funeral hour at Bernhardt Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund at 115 Pleasant Grove Rd., Ellijay, GA 30540.
