Glenda Stover Smith

April 30, 1939 – February 15, 2019

Mrs. Glenda Stover Smith, age 79 of Ellijay, died Friday February 15, 2019.

Mrs. Smith was born April 30, 1939 in Gilmer County, the daughter of the late Charlie and Rozelle Mullinax Stover. She worked in the textile industry and was of the Baptist Faith. Her husband Winfred Smith preceded her in death.

Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law; Tommy and Linda Smith, Steve and Jeanette Smith and Ray Smith all of Ellijay, brothers and sisters-in-laws Roy and Mary Sue Stover and Lloyd and Mary Helen Stover all of Ellijay, sister and brother-in-law Geraldine and Pete Tipton, of Ellijay, 3 grandchildren Tonya Banks, Kellie Ponder and Winfred Smith, 9 great-grandchildren nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandson Dakota Smith.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00pm from the New Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. John Reece and Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Saturday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
