Marilene “Mary Wright”

May 07, 1941 – February 22, 2019

Mrs. Marilene ”Mary Wright” age 77 of Ellijay GA died February 22nd, 2019.

Mrs. Wright was born to the late Charles T. and Elene Parris in Copper Hill TN. She was a member of the Green Acres Baptist Church in Smyrna GA and was active in all church functions. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an excellent cook. Mrs. Wright was a member of the Peach State Nova Club and won many trophies with her husband Harold showing off their cars all over the eastern United States, always working to raise money for the club. She was a member of the Yukon Civic organization and worked very hard raising funds and organizing events to build the Yukon Fire Station #9. Mrs. Wright loved going to Carrabelle FL with her husband and many beloved friends and also helped raise funds and prepare meals for the Franklin County Senior Center. Mrs. Wright was a beloved Mother and ”Nanny” and will be deeply missed by all who knew her and became friends or family over the years.

Survivors include: Son and daughter in law: Alan and Michelle Wright Marietta GA Daughters and son in law: Rhonda and Doug Soule Cumming GA Beth Wright Ellijay GA Grandchildren: Nicole McBrayer, Jason Wright, Jill Davison, Maddie Soule Clark, Jessica Keller, Crystal Dale Martin, Meaghen Matt, Courtney Peterson sister-in-laws; Vercil Miller and Carol Mulkey both of Ellijay 7 Great Grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday February 25th from 2:00pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Rubin Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Wright Father and Mother Charles T and Elene Parris Brother Gene Parris Sister Sandra Walker and son Ricky Wright

The family will meet with friends Sunday February 24th from 4:00pm until 9:00pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.

Flowers and food will both be accepted for Mrs. Wright.
