Mr. Frank Anthony Thomas, Jr., age 66, of Ellijay died Monday August 5, 2019.

Mr. Thomas was born January 18, 1953, in Trenton, NJ, the son of Martha Ann Sorrells Thomas and the late Frank Anthony Thomas, Sr.  He served in the U.S. Air Force, was a member of the Popular Springs Church in Hiram and last worked as Sheriff’s Deputy for Gilmer County.

Survivors include; wife; Laura McClure Thomas, daughter and son-in-law: Katie and Scott Exum, Jacksonville, AL son: Matthew Thomas, granddaughter; Mckenzie Exum, mother; Martha Ann Thomas, Dallas, brothers and sister-in-law; James and Angie Thomas, Savannah, Henry Thomas, Dallas, along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm from the chapel of the Bernhardt Funeral Home with Minister Butch Jones officiating.  Interment will be in the Yukon cemetery in Ellijay with graveside rites by the North Georgia Honor Guard.

The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 12 noon until the funeral hour.
