Mr. Bobby Eugene (Bob) Thomas, age 86, of Ellijay, died Monday, August 5, 2019.

Mr. Thomas was born June 6, 1933 in Gilmer County the son of late William Joshua and Willa Griffin Thomas. He served in the U.S. Air Force, was a member of the Cherry Log Baptist Church and was a prominent businessman, operating various business over the years. At the time of his death he was a Field Distributor for Conoco Oil Co.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings; Dottie Boston, Ruth Logan, Bill Thomas, Linda Thomas, Joann Parks, Betty Anderson, and Harold Thomas.

Survivors include: children; Pamela Jones, (Michael), Tammy Cornelius, Allison Davis (Eddy) ,Bobby Thomas, JR, James Thomas (Noreen) , Linda Jo Thomas, all of Ellijay, Lura Baker (Michael),Acworth, grandchildren; Emma Jones, Houston Jones, Jerry Teague, Bobby Teague, Leeman Teague, Thomas Nealey, Ashley Nealey, Brooke Thomas, Natalie Thomas, Christianna Baker, Joseph Baker, Eva Baker, Katarina Baker, Lea Baker, Willa Baker, Magnolia Baker 8 great-grandchildren, siblings, Jack Thomas, Eddie Thomas, Sherry Mathis and Carol Lacy, former wife; Pat Thomas, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Patterson and Rev. Kenny Hagin officiating. Interment will be in the Cherry Log Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Thursday from 1:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home.
