Mr. Clyde Leroy Mullinax, age 94 of the Cartecay community Ellijay, GA passed on Thursday October 24, 2019. Mr. Mullinax was born on January 1st, 1925 in Ellijay, GA to his late parents Arvil McKinley and Lillie Elizabeth (Woody) Mullinax. He served honorably in the U.S. Army in France during World War II. For injuries sustained in combat, Clyde was awarded the purple heart and a bronze star. Clyde was a member and former deacon of the Ellijay Church of Christ and was a life-long farmer. Preceded in death by his daughter, Arbradella Mullinax, sisters, Ventalee Mulkey, Audra Cantrell, Christine Skello, brothers, James, Claude, J.B. and Jackie Mullinax.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday October 26th from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Min. Butch Jones and Min. Jeremy Green officiating. Congregational singing will be led by Mr. Jim Wright. Military Honors will take place at the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with rites performed by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Interment will follow in the Cartecay United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Deacons of the Ellijay Church of Christ serving as pallbearers, Tim Hall, Barry Kingsley, Curtis Kingsley, John Painter, Mark Pettit, Alan Hall, Hollis Lowman, Jack Stanley and Roger Edmondson will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Clyde is survived by his wife of 73 years, Wylene (Clark) Mullinax of Ellijay, GA, son and daughter-in-law, Eddy and Suzanne Mullinax of Ellijay, GA, granddaughter, Michelle Mullinax of Ashville, NC, great grandchildren, Corbin Deacon, Quinn Sforza and Irie Rose Chapman, sister, Pauline Mullinax of Ellijay, GA, several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends on Saturday October 26th, from 11:00am-2:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Compassus Hospice at 583 Highland Crossing East Ellijay, GA 30539 in memory of Mr. Mullinax.
