Mr. Steven B. “Steve” Parks, age 67 of Ellijay, GA passed on Friday November 29^th, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. Parks was born on February 1^st, 1952 in Ellijay, GA to his parents, Burt Jones Parks and Annie Mae (Woodard) Curtis. He was a 1970 graduate of Gilmer High School and a graduate of Pickens Tech, he was also a member of the Salem Baptist Church. Steve served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War era. He was most recently employed and retired with ETC as a service technician.

Per Steve’s request, there will be no services held. An inurnment will take place at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at a later date.

Steve is survived by his son, Nicholas Johathan Parks; sisters, Diane (Keith) Parks of Ellijay, Lorena Thompson of Jasper, and Tammy Pruitt of South Carolina; mother, Annie Mae Curtis; special niece and nephew, Cindy and Matt Chastain of Ellijay, GA; special “little” nephew Luke (Kaitlyn) Chastain of Ellijay, GA; and special friends, Barry Broadwater and Susan James.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Gary Hyde 156 North Jones Mill Rd. Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Mr. Parks.
