Annie Bowman

Mrs. Annie Bowman, age 96, passed away from heart failure Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at her home in Ellijay.

Born January 12, 1923 in Lake Wales, Florida. Her husband, Thomas R. Bowman, was killed in action on Luzon Island during WWII.

She retired from Polk County Hospital, Bartow, Florida after working 31 years as an LPN. She moved to Gilmer County, Georgia and spent the last 28 years of her life enjoying the beautiful mountains, winter snows and the kind people of this wonderful area.

Mrs. Bowman is survived by her two daughters, JoAnn Edwards and Tommie Fay Bowman.

Graveside services were held at Walker’s Chapel, Fort Payne, AL where she was laid to rest beside her husband. Rev. Ronnie Highfield officiated at the service.
