Two new head coaching positions have opened in college football this year thanks to Sonny Dykes, who left Louisiana Tech to take the Cal head coaching job, and Butch Jones, who left Cincinnati to accept the Tennessee head coaching position.
This Saturday, October 27th is the day that the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party kicks off again between the #2 Florida Gators and the #10 Georgia Bulldogs, pitting two fierce rivals against each other yet again.
Rivalries in college football are like popcorn at the movies: it’s a huge part of what makes the whole experience so enjoyable. However, I think the scope of a “rivalry game” isn’t quite narrow enough, so I feel the need to set the record straight.
Welcome back to another edition of the Fetch Football Forum, and as one of my colleagues likes to say, it’s been too long since I last left you. In the time that has passed since the last Forum update, we’ve seen a multitude of big wins, thrilling endings, and embarrassing losses in the college football world, which has led to some fan bases being thrilled with their team’s head coach and others not so much.
Today we look at some of the SEC head coaches that may want to have some boxes handy in their office to pack up their belongings once the inevitable occurs.

Tennessee went into this game looking to beat a rebuilding Florida team pretty easily, but as any die hard Vols fan knows, one can never sleep on the Gators. They will bite you if you underestimate them. That is exactly what they did in a 37-20 win over Tennessee. (more…)
Week three of the college football season saw several moments in SEC play, including the Tide rolling over the Razorbacks, the Gators taking over in the fourth quarter for the second straight week, and the Wildcats wondering if they should even bother still fielding a football squad. (more…)
Welcome back to the Fetch Football Forum. This week’s key SEC matchup pits the Florida Gators against the Tennessee Volunteers, a matchup that was once the most highly contested in the entire conference but had died down due to the tremendous amount of success that Florida experienced during Urban Meyer’s time in Gainesville. However, this year looks to be different, as Derek Dooley’s Vols finally look reloaded and ready to give the Gators a game.
