TeamFYNSports Writer’s Player of the Week- Kobe Stonecipher

Congratulations to the Gilmer Bobcats’ Kobe Stonecipher for being named this week’s Player of the Week in the season opener!
Kobe stood out in the season opener against Fannin on Friday. He had several successful kick returns, and scored the only touchdown of the night for the Bobcats! Congratulations again, Kobe! Good luck for the rest of this season!
TeamFYNSports Writer’s Player of the Week – Will Bradburn

Congratulations to Gilmer Sophomore OL/DL Will Bradburn on being named Player of the Week for the Week 2 victory over Towns County. As the right guard for the Bobcats he played a crucial role in the success of their Wing-T attack, including several impact blocks that led to big plays. On defense, Bradburn was in the backfield all night, sacking the quarterback and forcing quick decisions that disrupted the Towns offensive game plan.
TeamFYNSports Writer’s Player of the Week- Ashton White, No. 24

The Gilmer County Bobcats got their first region win of the 2019 season. Ashton White was a huge help in getting that victory.
Ashton White had 20 carries for 79 yards and one touchdown. He scored the only touchdown for the Bobcats.
Gilmer went into the half down 7-6 but came back to win 17-14. Congratulations to Ashton White- this week’s TeamFYNSports Writer’s Player of the Week for Gilmer!

My Gilmer Bobcats player of the week is #8 A. Bertolini , this guy is all over the field making plays and best of all taking care of his team. This young man shows sportsmanship, dignity, and pride towards his teammates as well as other players. This guy has what it takes along with many others of this Bobcats team to possibly upset some really big teams in 2018. With the right coaching and strategy anything is possible. Way to Go #8!!! GO CATS!!!

Tyson Elliott, a Junior Center for the Gilmer Bobcats is a big asset for the Bobcats offense. This guy is a beast on the line, he knows when and how to go low, protect his QB and has very fast footwork.
He is able to communicate with the QB which is very important in football. Tyson shows heart and determination giving 100% on every offensive play. I see this young man as an advantage for Gilmer’s O line, he will be doing great things for this team in the future.

Senior QB David Smith is this weeks #TeamFYNSports Sports Writer Player of the Week. Smith had a 2-yard rushing touchdown and a 50-yard passing touchdown in last weeks game against the Bruins. Congrats, David, on being this weeks #TeamFYNSports Sports Writer Player of the Week!

Running back/Cornerback, Kell Kiker, a senior for the Bobcats had a great game running, blocking and defending the ball last Friday night. Kiker had 10 carries while hauling in 24-yards. He also made some big blocks giving other running backs big holes to run through. Kiker also had some big stops for the Bobcat Defense. Congrats, Kell on being this weeks #TeamFYNSports player of the game.
